Parent Council
On Feb 4th, 2010, we had our first Parent Council Meeting at Al-Hijra school.
There will be a monthly meeting that will occur on the first Thursday of each month after Maghrib
prayers between the parent council staff and the school representatives. All parents are welcome to
attend these meetings. In that meeting, we elected the parent council staff, as follows:
President: Dr. Esam Abdel Raheem
Vice President: Str. Zita Zinn-Shamisa
Secretary: Rami Fathy Salem
Again all parents are welcome to attend these meetings. If your attendance would be difficult, we
would still encourage all parents to share via emails any concerns that need to be addressed, comments
or suggestions in order to improve the educational environment for our children at Al-Hijra
School. If you are presenting a problem a suggestion for a solution must accompany the problem so
that we generate discussion for a group solution. Please send your concerns/suggestions to the

After each meeting we will be updating the parents via e-mails with the meeting's discussions.
