What did they say about Al-Hijra School

I am extremely happy(but not surprized) with the CAT testing results of Al-Hijra. After moving to Chicago area last year, my 2 sons started going to public school system for the first time. All the teachers here were very impressed with their performance and Omair(Grade 7) was bumped up to advanced mathematics class, where he is doing grade 8 maths now. With very limited resources, I believe Al-Hijra is doing excellent job in preparing the kids for the future

Thank you very much for this wonderful email. My kids were students at Al-Hijra. Al-hamdu le Allah, I managed to enroll them at Lewa International School. One of the most renowned schools in UAE. It was not an easy procedure. All the three of them had to pass some hard entering exams not once but twice before they got accepted. We have just received their report cards for the first term and they have all done amazingly well despite the difficulties. All praises to Allah. What really put tears in my eyes was not their excellent report cards but what the school principle told me: " I am not really surprised by their academic achievements. I have seen many kids coming from private schools from North America with solid academic back ground. But I am really amazed by their Islamic attitude. As a principle of a top-notch school in an Islamic country, I am finding it hard to believe that your kids grew up in North America!"

I do believe that I would never be able to maintain the Islamic character of my kids without the Islamic environment of the Islamic school. While many people focus too much on the academic aspect, no one is looking carefully at "environment" aspect which is priceless. With that being said, our schools have proved again and again that they exceeded the national average when it comes to academics but many people still don't want to accept that!!! Look at both schools achievements at Ontario standardized tests, the math competition, the spell bee, the science fair, story writing,....etc. What else are they supposed to do to prove that they are "THE RIGHT PLACE WHERE YOUR CHILDREN SHOULD BE".

Finally to see the real full picture, please remember that our schools are significantly underfunded and understaffed in comparison to the public schools. Therefore, in my opinion, they are both doing miracles.

I can't say enough to thank Al-Hijra school. May Allah bless our Islamic schools and guide our community to what is best for the future of their children
